In 2013 Australian New York City resident Yael Stone was the inmate playing "Lorna Morello" in Orange Is the New Black. Yael graduated from NIDA. Yael has been fortunate to be able from an early stage to be a part of the best storytellers and performers in Australia, as well as pioneers within the TV, film and theatre fields. Yael has a successful career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was able to find a new home in New York City when the production played to critical acclaim at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Yael has been a co-founder of The Cannery. It is located in The Cannery, a Bushwick Brooklyn studio, they support new imaginative writing and promote innovative concepts.
